Repair damage Foglight & Install. on Sedan
Ok, my Auto-Dynasty foglight arrived today from Ebay. I was very disappointed
The foglight lense all busted-up and the switch cover broken. I didn't have no used for switch cover, just the button, it all ok. Reason, they didn't put any newspaper or bubble protection inside the box. Yes, I did read the forum. I was just hoping they didn't screw-up! But it arrived in 6 day. It cost me around $78 dollar total.![]() ![]() Repair damage foglight I remove the the broken glass and clear seal. Damn! The glass look kinder cheap and break easy too. You get what you pay I guess. Just call me McGyver I used my CD cover, If it melt i'll used glass later ![]() I used Dremel drill and accessory to cut the plastic ![]() Complete Cut, not bad at all Notice I used the tape to protect it :) ![]() I used the clear window & door silicone and paste around foglight. I put the plastic lense on the seal. I snap the the black rubber cover back on the foglight. Here the complete fix ![]() Check all part of the foglight kit. Remember I repair the damage left side foglight ![]() Remove the expansion clip (2) and fender clip(2). Remove the front bulkhead cover. ![]() Remove the self-tapping screws (2). ![]() Remove all clips beneath the bumber. ![]() ![]() Alright, this part it kinder take me more time. I used the Dremel drill and accessory to cut the plastic. The good new, the back of the bumber have been mark already for cut with the drill. So I really didn't need the template that I didn't received from the foglight kit. It take me (1-2 hrs) to cut and trim it. The installation of the foglight was easy and simple. ![]() After complete the installation of the foglight. I install the fog light harness 2-pin connector to the left/right fog light. Connect the 2-pin connector to the fog light. I used industrial tape to secure the line harness. I used wire tie to secure the harness near the fog light. ![]() Locate the 1-pin connector (brown) on the side of the reservoir. Secure the subharness ground terminal to the vehicle fram using the supplied ground bolt. ![]() Finish the hard part 1.Remove the negative cable from the battery. 2.Remove the driver's dashboard and the driver's dashboard lower cover. 333.Remove three connector from the fuse back. Reason, the top and the bottom kinder interfere with the middle (white) connector. 4.Pull the the (white) connector and remove the cover by sliding it. 5.Insert the white/red terminal and blue terminal (if have it) on the switch harness terminal. 6.Attach or plug the relay into the switch harness relay block. Locate 1-pin connector blue-tape to the vehicle harness. 7.Plug the 1-pin connector into the 1-pin connector of the switch harness. Sorry, it kinder dark down there, didn't get good picture 8. Route properly and all connectors are plugged in. ![]() Last, plug the 20amp fuse near the blue 15amp and the two empty slot to the right. Snap the switch and conector. ![]() ![]() Finish JOB! So I wait till dark, cross my finger. Yippi!!! It work :) ![]() Last edited by Civic4u; 09-30-2006 at 09:02 PM. |
