Fog light film

Are you guys using any fog light film protection on your installed fog lights, and if so,are they holding up w/o burning? Are there any alternatives other than Lamin-X, which by the way burnt in after light usage on my civic 06 sedan with OEM fog lights installed. Don't want to wait for any debree hitting and damaging fogs. Lamin-X did not help me out with this issue. Need help.

I've been using Laminx for about 5 months and have no burn issues. I just make sure not to have the fogs on if I'm parked or idling for a long time.
