5000K or 6500K HID kit?

Hello to all! I have recently been introduced to the world of aftermarket HID lights. I am however having difficulties on choosing what is gonna be right for Me. I have narrowed it down to either 5000K or 6500K exteme xenon kit. I want them to be white but also have a tint of noticeable blue. My friends have 10K and 12K which I find to be way to blue/ purple. I already ordeed the 5K from Steve but now am not to sure if these will suit what I want. Pics just don't seem to do the lights justice one set of pics from 6500K can look really blue yet another they will look pure white. So I'm done looking at pics. I want feedback from people who already have these installed. So please help me out. Which of the 2 will have a nice tint of blue without overwhelming the white tinge and taking the purpose of HID lighting away? Just don't want a solid white light.thanks to all for your help!

I have 6000K and they are perfect for me. They are nice and white but still have the smallest tinge of blue. IMO they are hot as **** man.

But, it's all in your eyes what you would want, but I'm 95% sure this is what your looking for.

Yup, 6000K. Had 8000K shipped by accident and then got corrected shipment. For me, 8000K was a bit too blue. My 6000K's are kinda whitish purplish when looking at em. Even 6000K for me kind of sticks out as most of what's out there is flat out white but doesn't look too aftermarket. Depends on what you're looking for though.

5k or 6k

Thanks everyone for your help. If anyone else has some feedback let me know. However I do feel like the 6500K is what I'm looking for. Little more blue to them! Also don't want them to be so blue that the light is a lot damper and not as pronounced

well i'd go for the 5000k. most cars with HID's out there are 4300k so 5000k will look "bluer" than the rest and the amount on non HIDs are a fraction of cars with halogens. its mostly perspective regarding the "blueness" of the color temp.

5000k will have considerably more lumen output than 6500k. brightness > color temp.

5000k blowbeam + fog

I would choose neither. 5000k will look white, whereas 6000k will give a hint of blue, which looks great.

I have 6000k and i love it, its just what I was looking for guess it depends on your taste. Might wanna find some local members from here in your area that have 5000k and 6000k so you can do comparison and see for you self in person. That might help you decide better, good luck

6000k is a more noticable hint of blue.
5000k is little or no blue. look at the light
beamed on the floor. the headlight housing doesnt
do it justice.

i thinks 6500k is what you want. i have 6000k - looks basically white with a slight hint of blue. some even say mine aren't blue enough, so based on that, i think you'll prefer 6000k or higher.
