*Sigh*... I own the freaking lights. I did the research. Do you think I don't know what they take??

It goes like this... it's an H1 bulb, but, it's got a 9006 plug on the end so you don't have to splice wires to actually plug it into the stock harness.
If you are buying any HID kit or any bulb or that matter, IT MUST BE H1.

Did you have your HID's in your stock housing before you put these in? If you did would you say that the light spread was wider with stock housings or with these?

Are those blazers from canadian tire?

I'm actually in white rock, haha, just Vancouver is easier to recognize on here.

Yes, I had HIDs in the stock housings before these, no pictures though. These are wider, but, because they're hot in the middle and taper off in output to the sides it's still not terribly impressive. The cutoff is of course the massive change, I always felt like I was blinding people before.

And the Blazers are the same ones you can get at crappy tire, but I got them at Princess Auto for about half price

I'm really happy with them for $115. Should hold me over until I get some real retro projectors, and I feel better knowing I'm not blinding anyone.
What do you mean by "until you get some real retro projectors"? What is the difference between these ebay halos and retro projectors? Thanks

The difference is that the ebay projectors are meant for normal halogen bulbs and he wants to get Retros for his HID's. The difference between the two is that the retro will give a widder and better focused light. This is my understanding.

This is true, however you don't have to hook them up if you don't like them.

The cutoff is super sharp but the beam is not very good. It's pretty narrow, not very intense and very scattered, nowhere near the width, intensity and uniformity of a retro.

(I hope Phalanx doesn't mind me using his retro as an example)
