I just bought a 2007 Si coupe. First thing I want to do is put HID's on it. I noticed alot of threads saying XenonDepot is the place to get them from. Do they have any 8000K HID's on their site? Which do you guys prefer? 6000K or 8000K? Any help would be much appriciated. Thanks.
i have friends that have 8000k and 10000k kits and they loose alot of usable light because they are so blue, i went from a 7000k bulb back to stock and can see so much better but ill let you know how i feel about the 6000k kit i just ordered from xenondepot
they are a sponsor on the site and have some pretty good kits, they also are really helpful with their support should anything go wrong with your kit. They also offer warranties on the kits should something happen that was not your doing.
I personally have 5k bulbs because they give you the whitest light and the best visibility of the PnP (Plug-n-Play) kits. They do have 8k kits but I would advise against them.
Options:
-5k or 6k (best color and "usable" light)
-9006 size bulbs
-35W (55W is WAY too much for the reflector causing HUGE amounts of glare, not to mention may damage your stock wiring harness.
-Get a warranty if they offer a free one or if it's within your price range, you won't regret it.
-Get a relay harness which allows you to power your lights straight from the battery instead of the stock plug in the car, prevents any damage to your cars wiring, and eliminates flickering and misfires.
