ok i know were suppose to remove the positive terminal on the battery before installing HIDs. but, wouldnt that reset the radio or anything else?? if the radio restarts, how can i find the code?? cuz i cant find anything in the manual. also is there anything else or any precautions i have to take before installing these??
the radio code is on a white card with your manuals. if you dont have that dealers usually charge $10 for the code. i installed my hids without unplugging the battery. did you find your mounting location ? i removed my bumper and installed them on the crashbar, perfect locationg for them imo. but if your are going to mount them on the radiator support. the easiest way to install the passenger side is from the wheel well. the drivers side just remove the coolant resovoir. it comes out really easy and goes back in really easy.
enjoy your hids
(by removing the coolant resovoiur you can avoid unplugging and removing the battery altogether which is a pain in the ass)

did u zipties to mount the ballast or did it come with mounting brackets.
Either mounting brackets or 3M double sided tape works best, the tape if applied to a clean surface is just as reliable as the bracket. Also suggest you get a relay wiring harness to draw power straight from battery.
they came with plastic mounting brackets, i left them on so i didnt have any metal on metal contact,
what i did was zip tie them down into place with thick zipties. and also used some electrical tape just for peace of mind.
when i installed them i upgrade the two 10amp fuses to 15amps. most people are religous about not doing that but ive been told to do it, and they work fine.
another tip once you get the lightbulbs installed and ballasts mounted, please make sure you check to see if they work before you remount the bumper(if you go that route)
u shouldnt have to disconnect the battery but u can always use a 9v small batt with ur battery wires. it should keep the computer on still. from what i know
