We recently had a night where the fog was incredibly bad and visibility was next to nothing. So, I decided to get fogs to be prepared for the next time. In most of the pictures I've seen, the Civics have housing for fogs already built in. I believe my coupe has this, but there is a bar across each one. This is the only spot that I could see where the fogs would go, so I'm kind of confused. I don't want to try to force these bars out and break something. Has anyone had to deal with this?
I looked at XenonDepot for fog lights, and most of them are for 06-07 civics. Would these work with the 09? I know that there were a few minor changes made to the civic in this time, so I'm not sure. If anyone could direct me to a nice place to buy these at a reasonable price, it would be great.
Exactly like that; I would have taken a picture of mine, but I'm not currently at home. They looked like they would just pop out, but I didn't want to do anything yet.
I looked at XenonDepot because it seems like a lot of people get their stuff there; and it was the sponsor right next to these forums; convenient, right?
Does anyone have a picture of how these would look installed?
i know this is a little off topic but since im here and we talking about it... does anyone know how to take out that coverthatge (whoops sorry my hand is numb lol) behind thee fog light , well, where the fog light would go.. is this plastic thing that make it look open but its really not.. could you take that out..??
The body coloured bar and the dark plastic behind is all one piece, and installs (and removes) from the front. There should be a few indentations around the outside that will allow you to slip a screwdriver in and remove the clips. Make sure you go easy on it though, you don't want to stress-whiten the plastic or worse, break it.
Sorry to revive a dead topic, but I'd rather do this than clutter up the forum. These lights should be okay, right? They're supposedly for 06 and up 2 Door Civics, but like I posted earlier, I heard that the 09's have some minor changes.
They look like this:
On a side note, what are some other places besides XenonDepot that sell fog lights for civics?
My friend installed those on his 08 ex and he just cut out that little plastic part and it fit perfectly inside the slot. With the 09, the fogs have the little bar on the sides. The 09 si's have the same front and if you look at pictures the fogs have the bar going through the middle and it looks like this holding the fog light so im not sure if those would work . Im trying to find out which ones i can use for the 09 coupe cause i heard the coupe and sedan installation is different o_o"
Hey, I have a 09 civic coupe EX, Im looking into doing fog lights, I found a pair, but no wiring, do you know where I can find it, and if its even possible?
YO kylescivic09 do you have a link?
The ones I find are at least $115
