hello everyone and happy new years. anyways I was attempting to install an HID kit I received for christmas but I failed. I connected everything correctly but they don't seem to work. But heres the catch, when I connect the plug back into my stock bulb. The stock bulbs don't even work anymore. I believe I might have shorted something out... I know I should check the fuses but If they are all fine, what else could I do? could I maybe unplug the battery to reset it? let me know. thanks
maybe you fried your wires? but that would be a costly fix, other than that i would say a relay somewhere, just give it a few more hours im sure someone else on here will have more info because ive never had a prob like this with any PNP HID kit ive had. Good luck man and i hope nothing is damaged.
Most likely you've got a blown fuse, its the circuit protection in case something like that happened. If it is, I strongly suggest not to try it again. Better off buying good HID kit. If not, double check the contacts, sometime contacts are just dirty not allowing the current to flow.
Good luck!!!
the HID kit has its own bulbs...you should not be using your stock bulbs anymore. (they have the 2 connectors so you don't confuse which is the power and ground connection)
run a relay harness to avoid the fuse blowing problem again
