The wife bought me a set of the DDM's for christmas but it looks like i have more wiring than any of the other pnp kits that ive seen around here. Maybe you guys can tell me what this wires on the far right are for: I would think the stock harness plugs into the ballast and then the two small single wire plugs from the bulb to the ballast. That still leaves me with the other wire that is fed through the rubber piece. Im confused.
Ive searched around on here and google and cant find what im looking for.
Ah i didnt even think of that. I was picturing pulling the stock harness connection way back to meet up with the ballast. So thats just basically an extension cord. Havent seen that on any other model.
and sadly, even after i read thread after thread about them getting praised by those members, they first say that their ballasts/inverters burn out quickly but the company ships them a replacement quickly.
Not bad since they honor their warranty but their products seem to be garbage
I just ordered the new DDM Raptor HID kit (slim ballast, 35w, 6000K, $52 shipped). I realize that it may be a roll of the dice in purchasing but the price made me want to try em especially considering that many people out there are saying that all of these kits are about the same. It feels much better to buy a low cost kit from a business then out of the Ebay cloud.
I'll report back in this forum if I have any issues with the hardware.
You do not need that rubber grommet if youre putting them in your 8th civic since there is no need to cut a hole anywhere to seal so i just cut the rubber piece off. The only time I needed that rubber piece is when I installed HID's into my customers 740i which had a sealed plastic piece on the back of the headlight which needed to be drilled to fit the wires in.

it's not. Switch ballasts and you'll see your right side will still be brighter
