Has anybody ever heard of retrofitting a reflector to reduce glare?
it seems that it would be a cheaper alternative to retrofitting projectors
in stock housing.

I saw somebody do it to their 99 civic heres the link: intellexual net · m k i v
scroll down to about the middle of the page it is
Pliep's 1999 Honda Civic with 4100K Lexus IS/LS reflector retrofit

I searched and couldn't find if theres an available thread please send
me in the right direction. Thanks.

Reflector retrofit.
If you can get it for cheap and do it yourself, then okay i guess. You won't get as much spread of light and if you don't aim it right or paint your stock reflectors black, then you will have glare due to the design of our headlights.
In other words, it works, but it's not worth it. Why do you think most are switching to projector-based headlights?

Ive seen that before my take on it is the older civics and the IS's have the larger circular headlights so it was probably far less work then trying to fit them in our long rectangular lamps. Too much modding of the reflectors would probably lead to an output not to your liking.
