but they arent lined up at all. How would i adjust them? Pics are up! Sorry for crappy pics, came from a camera phone. Can ya help me out on what needs to be adjusted?
you need to adjust them bad lol, you can either stick a long screw driver down the hole on your headlights, or use a 10mm socket and turn the nut by your headlight, for your drivers side, you have to remove your coolant reservoir.
i know of the nut you speak of also but i even want to know whats the best they should look like as far as cutoff is concerned without projectors.Mine dont look as bad as the OP's but i do need to line them up more.
use a 10mm socket, and either tighten or loosen, depending on which way you need to go, i think tightening it goes up, and vice versa but i could be wrong.
so i just checked it out and tightening the bolt raises the headlight up. but how the hell do you unscrew the reservoir tank? thanks again for the help!
you unscrew the top piece and pull the rubber hose and cap off, then just pull straigh up on it, give it a little force because its usually stuck in there.
I would not suggest just trying to aim them by feel on a dark road, you'll end up aiming them too high likely.
Best method is in front of a dark wall about 25 feet away, try to get the most intense area of light about 2 inches on the wall lower than your headlight is.
Yes, they should be pointed slightly downwards.
I had mine initially straight as well, but then I realized that the beam spreads out over distance and people far down the highway would be getting a lot of glare, even if anyone close would be fine.
^ ya i should do it, lol my buddy tried to adjust his light on his driveway and had them perfect................ till he realized his driveway was on a pretty nice slant and ya sure enough they whee about 4 inches off on a straight surface
I just did mine and it sure was easy. It is 1000 times better now!
