so i just spend the last 15 minutes replacing my passenger side low beam headlight. seriously...wtf honda? :readtherules:
i turned the wheel and went in through the wheel well like the manual said, but unless you've the hands of a 10 year old girl its a pain to get in there and replace the bulb! i just kept thinking...there's got to be an easier way! anyone have any pointers for the next time i have to swap out the bulb?
just had to rant for a minute...
If you take the wheel out it's easier. I am assuming you pulled out the screw and like three clips that you have to remove.
Also, when removing the bulb, first remove the connector, then remove the bulb, install the new bulb and at the end plug in the connector.
I did this on sunday and it didn't take me more than 10 minutes.
Hope this helps!
yeah, i thought about removing the wheel as an after thought. it would have been a lot easier without the wheel. just sucks that you have to take the freaking wheel off to change a bulb!
this was so much easier in my old saturn...took literally 30 seconds!
wow, seriously? i can get to the hi's through the top but def not the lows!
just be thankful you didnt go through the liner...its way harder than it needs to be
I admit that it is a pita, but everything is the first time you do it. I assure you that next time it will seem much easier than this time. You just have to be careful not to break any of the pins.
VanSi07, if you changed the low beam bulbs from top you really have 10yo girl hands... lol. I don't get even close to that...
Car makers are doing this "simple things" more complicated each time so lazy people will believe that it is impossible and they will end up taking them to the dealership, which can charge you whatever the hell they want. Same with the oil change, have you noticed how messed up is the location of the filter????

What bulbs did you use? I was thinking about getting 9006 Silverstar Ultras from Amazon for $33.70. Anyone have any other suggestions other than HIDs? I don't think I'm car savy enough to instal an HID kit.
