im looking to buy these headlights but im not sure bc i dnt want to melt my housing bc the output wattage is 130W.....which is almost double of what the normal headlights are.
130 watts??? You won't even be able to turn them on without blowing the fuse. And yes even if you could you'd melt, well, everything around them.
Why on earth would you want that? If you need a lot of light get a cheap 35w HID setup...
EDIT- Never mind, you just read it wrong. They're 55w's like most 9006s. They just claim a "Projected Wattage" of 130W.
output wattage means how bright they are.
For instance, you buy a 50w input x brand bulb with 6000000000000w output.
That means, the use 50watts to produce 60000000000watts worth of light.
Same as your energy saving spiral bulbs(cfl) you see at lowes, homedepot, acehardware or any other store. They will have a 25w input while giving 55watts worth in light output
