painting headlights?

so i have 5k hid's in my stock headlights right now and i was wondering if i painted the housing and left the reflectors around the light if it would help with the huge glare it has. has anyone tried this yet?

wasting. don't do it. just get retrofit later once you get some funds. do it right.

its not the funds. i just dont want to take out my lights, send it in, have no lights for a week.

get some cheap eBay ones until the retros come back in. and sell the eBay ones. simple.

If you use HID Illusionz (customlights) Rich may have some loaners you can use till he gets done with the retrofit. I'm using a set of loaners from him now while he works on my quad set up

Can't wait till it gets back.

Just do like I did... Buy someones good-condition set and send those out for retro. Then once you get your retros, sell your OEM lights. If you have a coupe, I have a set of OEMs you can buy... they're perfect for a retro. they should be in the the F/S section soon. Only used for 11K miles.
