Bosch e46 projector package at hidplanet, $379.99 + shipping. It's the cheapest CORRECT way to have hid's.

Probably a used 2000 Cadillac Catera or 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII. You could get DOT approved legal HID in those cars for about $8000 today. For a few grand more, you could get a 2000 Audi A4 which had xenons as an option.

Unfortunately, Civics today don't yet come with HID, and plug-and-play HID kits tend to be shoddy in build quality. It's often a case of getting what you pay for.

As an alternative, you may wish to consider saving up for a projector retrofit.

And, truth to tell, most HID retrofits are only 200 more for parts (because of the lenses) than Plug-n-Plays because you're only really adding a projector and other misc. materials to the bundle.

Then if you have the time/talent, do the retro yourself. Do it right.

If you are interested in some projectors. I have around 5 sets on Ebay right now. TSX, Valeo, Bosch, Hella. I will be getting some more probably next week.

Any idea what kind of projectors will fit nicely in the fogs, caveman? I kinda wanna buy the OEM-style set on ebay, and retrofit for chipsngiggles.

You are gonna have to get something small. Most projectors for HID are 2.75' lens diameter. You might want to look into the Audi TT projectors. They are pretty small.

McCullochs is a good brand, but make sure the equipment is made in Japan, or Germany, NOT China. No offense to Chinese-made equipment, they're just not up to par with Germany and Japan's technology.

Look for a quality plug-and-play type unit if you don't want to splice and cut up any wires. Also look for units with the built-in ignitors AND ballasts.

Good luck.
