Also do you have highbeams anymore? Cuase i know some bulbs have highbeams built into them... and i dont know if the new civic does....

And if it doesnt did you get a highbeam HID too? or is it pointless since the HID is just as bright

thanks man
The DRL are on a different circiut. They share with the high-beam, not the low beam. HIDs replace your factory low beam. So you won't have to worry about it.

You still have your DRL and high beams. They function the same as stock.. nothing is touched. At night with my HIDs, the high beams still light up the road a little more (but further down and a bit higher up). You do notice a pale light emitted.

Now if you were to replace the high beams with HID's, its a waste of money and you'd have to disable the DRL.

Just to note, if your lights are off, and you wanted to flick your high beams at someone, your low beam HID's would come on.. so don't flick your high beams anymore unless you have your HID's on already. (during daylight)

Hids are on my to-do list... however not on the top

1st ill prob do intake
then exaust
then maybe ill do some visual upgrades starting with rims/tires, hids, and eventually maybe...maybe a non-rice bodykit =P

yea that would probably be the smart thing to do rather than tearing apart something and have the chance of not doing it right.. the problem is i have like 6 ballests and bulbs and nothing to do with them... i guess ill c if some1 will pick them up on ebay for like $100 a piece... yea that should b sufficient. then i can get the whole kit.

knowing honda's, exhaust system upgrades should pretty much be in the middle. Cat-back exhausts at least only gain 2-5hp, 5hp being very lucky. Its usually the intake and exhaust manifold that is most restrictive.

but yeah, anyone in NJ who needs help with HID's let me know.

factory head lights are dull as it is. With the HID's it made a huge improvement as far as visibility.

No need to take off front bumper

there is no need to take off the front bumper. Open the hood, remove the coolant reservoir, and change the bulb from right behind the headlight assembly. then on the passenger side, you can get to the blub through the fender. i mounted my HID ballasts on my strut towers. it looks very clean.

My headlights on my new 06 civic are by no means "dull". Like I said people are flashing their lights at me when there on low beam and it not because there is a cop ahead. Plus I don't think I need white lights on my car to attract the cops even more. I mean It's bad enough with 20% tint all the way around. I guess it's what ever makes you happy though.

hmm..maybe my civic just had dull lights.. but i haven't had a problem with people giving me the finger with the bulbs.. i have them well aimed downwards so it doesn't cause a problem. Cops don't even notice it.. Eventually i'm going to do the mod to give it more of a projector like look.

WTF, there is no need to take off the bumper, these guys are retarted. Just do it through the fenderwells. I put my HID's on in 25 minutes. And didnt have to take any of that shit off.
