All i know at te moment is that they run on 12V
It's a pain in the as to switch the dash lighting because there are at least 3 different LEDs and filters. Search and you shall find. I know someone tried that on here before.

The daylight running lights run off the Highbeams at a partial power and always will look yellowish. I have the Silverstars and that really didn't make a difference for the Daylight running lights

Is it really worth it to spend about 100 bucks to change the bulbs on a brand new car? I really dont want to mod the headlamps or get HID. I was looking at the Sylvanias hi and lo's but 100 bucks for 20% brighter lighting seems a bit high for the return. If I install them and I can say "holy crap these are a lot brighter" I'd do it, but if it's "meh" I'd rather spend the 100 bucks on beer.

Little hands FTW!!!!

I just had to change out my drivers side light(DRL) and managed to get my hands in there to get at the bulb. I do not think I will have such luck when I have to change out the highbeams.

er sorry for the stupid question ... if i change my headlight bulbs to a higher wattage bulb, will i fry the harness? stock wattage is 51 i think. i have been using some nokya yellow bulbs (70w) for more than a year and they looked great + better visability. i decided to switch them to some hyper whites because they attract to much attention.

(they are a lot more "yellower" in person)

i got some cuzo hyper whites and they look great when they are on. the bulbs say they are 80w but they have the same voltage as stock (12v). should i be worried? thanks

(general pic taken from ebay)

DIY LED replacement guide 07 Civic coupe+

Ok, so one thing ive found out by looking, is that LED replacements can get confusing, so below is a list for 07 Civics (possibly others)
We will start with fitments guide:
Parking light 3457
Front Turn 3457
Rear Turn 992 (7440amber)
Tail 7443
Stop 7443
License plate 168
Back up 921
Rear Sidemarker 168
Map/Dome Bulbs DE 3175 (31mm Festoon)
Trunk 2825

Explanations of an LED (Light emitting diode)
Simply put it uses less electricity and creates little to no heat, for same or GREATER outputs versus incandecent counterparts
things to watch for:
Just because it has 9 leds, doesnt mean it should cost 12+ dollars
Nichia LEds are the cheapest form, and are often clustered together in groups (for instance the very common 31mm Festoon replacement is 9led... but theres a even brighter version that uses 1 led)
Luxeon, a little more expensive, designed a much more powerful LED, and comes in 1, 2 and 3 watts... VERY VERY POWERFUL
Cree is his competitor, again very powerful
the new super flux's stand a chance against these giants in the world and come in a much more variable wattage scale, so again keep an eye on it. Some super flux's come in 1.7watt combos, that are just as bright as the 1 watt Luxeon

Now if your wondering whats the point in spending the money on LEDs... well, for 1 ull never have to replace them (most have 100,000 Hour guarantees) and they use less power ( the regular festoon bulb is 8ws, a 1w luxeon will outperform it!)
Not to mention their colors are TRue colors, not a standard filament bulb with a painted or stained glass!

LEDs come in any color imaginable including but not limited to:
Green, Red, Blue, UV, amber, purple, yellow, orange, white, blue-white, etc.

Now the list of sites to look for bulbs (excluding ebay unless u find them cheaper)
www.LEDlight.com
The LED light carries:
7440 amber (brightest is model # 56485 $19.99) [and 7443]
921 (anycolor #32584 is brightest) $9.99
3175 (festoon) 1 W Luxeon version #85645 white only $15.99
3175 (festoon) 1.7W flux version #56412, any color $5.99

superbrightleds.com they carry:
7443&7440 as 3 watt version 12.95 3 colors
H11-WHP DRL LED bulb 9.99 (good for daytime running in fogs, NOT ENOUGH OUTPUT FOR REGULAR FOG USE!)
168 (price range brightest being 4.95, least expensive $.79, obviously weak)
921 $3.95 +some for certain colors
3175 (here is 3022, same thing basically) 9LED = 2.95+ for colors
3022-WHP2 with 2 high power LEDs $6.95

Automotiveled.com (division of LEDtronics inc.)
Ledshoponline.com (warning from australia, prices are a little high)

3457s can be found:http://www.eautoworks.com/html/searc...king~light.htm
Prolly cheaper on ebay for those

Any info please let me know! If you have other sites, please private message me or email me with the info, ill check it out and add it to the DIY!

Some interesting LEDs can be found on ebay. There is a kit with a 12LED board and multiple attachments, including a festoon attachment. If you have the dome light (i know LXs do) this kit will work! i might be getting it and let u know how it goes!

well i waited in the mail forever for the 9LED kit for my front bulbs, and i found a cool 12LED (flux) one for the dome im gonna try, Im also waiting on the tailight LEDs cause im gonna change my whole assembly back there to the LED taillights (almost altezza style, but altezza doesnt use LEDs lol) So im prolly gonna go with the red ones so they look stock til i hit the brakes, then ull see rows of LEDs :-D
ALSO i plan on starting with the cargo and liscence plate ones this week,
... i thought i did this guide in my own thread LOL im gonna copy past to its own DIY thread

ok i guess i dont have permission to start threads like that, bah!!! how do i get permission???? Also to FG geek, its possibly something to worry about over the time of the wireing AND the housing, cause they housing may get too hot
the main thing is to make sure u didnt replace fuses when u put the bulbs in
check the fuses and if they are good, then ur good so far, If u want more light, do a plug and play Xenon kit, like the one posted by orient express
