who cares what you paid, he still got his for less, and if you work at honda you must not have much clout to still have to pay over cost, im a service manager at nissan and have never paid over cost for parts. And im not sure about the three day wait business, my buddy said they were back ordered and it would be about two months to get me one, maybe he wasnt being truthful, but guess what, its just gonna go on ebay for three times what im paying for it and then i can buy three! BTW, the only thing you have going for you is your name, Justin, which happens to be the coolest name in the world, so maybe we can agree on one thing.

OK....i will just agree to end this whole thing. ill have mine on thursday or friday. and i have worked at several dealers and they call it employee price which is usually 15-20% over cost. even being the parts manger im sure you would get that price not knowing what real cost is, since you have no access to any parts prices..... but diffrent places work diffrent ways. my way for me is 10% over cost and our dealership uses a cost bump which is about 10% over cost, meaning cost listed in the system is cost+10%, which is my price.....or cost. thats why i get it of parts master from the honda website.

but yes Justins are the coolest!!!!!
i wasnt tryin to be an asshole (kinda was).....i just dont like bein attacked like i dont know anything based of my posts or how long i have been on this forum. i try very hard to retain knowledge on my intrest which now is the SI but i have done honda parts for years and nissan and know a decent amont about parts and prices

agree to disagree?

No, when i get parts, i get them at cost, meaning what the dealer pays, we do have employee pricing which is also 10 percent over as well, but when i decide how much markup goes on the parts its pretty much whatever i want to pay, which is cost. the parts manager works for me, so what i say goes

No, I'm not doubting the site, I am questioning the purchase of the knob. Many tell me and I've also read that you can only order it with a Mugen SI VIN#.

But, if anyone can just order one then I would like to try it!

Oh I see I assumed they would not let you complete the online order with out providing the vin. Whats to stop some one from getting the vin off a car in the parking lot? Does the dealer they have some way to track them?

they have a very simple method of finding out if the vin has an invoice date, meaning the date someone purchased. they can also tell from the vin if its still waiting to be sold. hope that helps, you have to order with vin from a car that is already been purchased. hope that helps, or if you have a hookup with the parts dept at honda.

Im not saying that all vendors check the vin to see if its been sold or not or if that is even a deciding factor for them to warrant a sale, but ive tried it with a vin from a mugen on the lot, and guess what, denied. But when i gave a vin for my buddys Mugen, they sent me the knob.

You can pull dcs on the vin, it will give you anything you want to know about the vehicle, past owners, extended warranty info, warranty work performed in the past, what parts were replaced under warranty, vehicle check in date, invoice date. Im sorry my friend, but you are wrong. Ask me how i know, please so i can further prove you wrong.
