King Motorsports Project Vehicle & Test Car!!
Many of you have been asking for information on products and services that we offer that we have not been able to provide/ answer... those days are coming to an end!!
King Motorsports has secured a "project car" from American Honda and it should be showing up shortly. The plan is to test a series of products and services to help quantify gains for these individual parts as well as combinations. The project car will be completely stock. As a teaser... King Motorsports will be leading in with some testing on a customer’s car that we had secured prior to American Honda approving our request for a project car. The customers car was dropped off last week for a baseline run and is extremely excited to be a part of this thread! Even though there may be some redundancy in these tests, we feel strongly about making good on or commitment to this customer. Information on the customers car will come first (1st.) and then we will follow up with additional data on our car shortly after it arrives... So stay seated and check back often!! Rob~ Customers Car: Completely Stock 2006 Civic Si Coupe w/ 9919 miles ![]() ![]() -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE 3-10-09 I have a bit of mixed news (good and bad). The 65mm body we tested will not be sold. We tested the 65mm but after talking to the machinist in this mornings meeting (he does not read the forums) and telling him about the results, he said that we should stop advertising 65mm. He said that one of the T/Bodies we did had to be chucked (thrown away) because it broke through to the bearings for the throttle shaft. He does not think it would be smart to continue to go for 65mm but rather land somewhere between 64-64.5mm. I know that this info may cause question and/ or concern as to the validity of the claims we are making with these tests... so we will be testing another body, that will be consistent with the product sold, shortly. The good thing is we wont be ruining throttle bodies and you wont have to machine your manifold for the ridge/ lip that is left if we had gone 65mm. Sorry, it was an honest mistake. Lets cross our fingers and hope that the 64mm version does the same job!! Rob~ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE 3-12-09 65mm Throttle body was tested again today and them swapped out for a back to back test against the 64mm version that we will ultimately be promoting and selling!! Check page 4 for the dyno graph. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Last edited by eK24monster; 03-04-2009 at 10:20 AM. This is one healthy 2006 Civic Si... let me tell ya. We have plenty of dynos that will support your claim so we know it's not the dyno. We have a Dynojet 224xLC and it is accurate, no smoke and mirrors.
Edit: This is the Customers Completely Stock Car not the King Project Car |

I guess I will edit the original post and spell things out more clearly to lessen the confusion. Note: I can not continue with the thread if I'm going to have to keep repeating myself every third post... you guys will need to read, everything. |
