Further update on my FD2

Just arrived this morning,..

Namura carbon hood for Si or FD2. Namura is a very small humble home industry in north Osaka. They dont even have a website (they're working on it i think). When I was in Japan, I visited them & guys.. They have the best quality CF I've ever seen. So, I ordered 5 louvered CF hood for 8th gen Civic 4 doors.
Take a look at these pics, the flatness & the gloss of the clear coat is simply stunning..

Also, this J's Racing rear floor brace bar.

Here's an installed pic from J's.

pointless or not, I cant tell.. Just like miracle X bars. Pointless? You cant tell unless you put your car to extreme flex condition & check the telemetry with sensors attached for twist & bending moment.

Yes. 4 points. This cross bar is designed to stop lateral flex, accoring to J's. I bet I will never be able to tell the difference. Ah well,.. I just put it there for looks then

it looks cool at least.

That hood is effin nice man. I think I'm gonna go with a CF hood now, but only because my stock hood is lookin like shit. Got hit by somethin yesterday that scratched/dented it. I wanted to keep a low profile tho. I'm so undecided right now.

Scratched/dented hood is the worse thing to happen to a clean car. The hood is the largest panel that people see most of the times when they're looking at cars. Its the most visible panel i should say.
CF hood will not dent. They will crack if subjected to hard impacts. So, least to say, CF hood is a better way to go.

Yohji Namura (the owner of Namura CF) emailed me. He is now in the process of making 2 all CF FD2 body shell. No, am not joking.. All CF body shell guys. The roll cage inside it will be titanium to keep weight minimal. It wont be cheap, it will cost around USD$45000 for the CF shell (complete with doors, trunk, hood & titanium cage).

SWEET. Do it Felix. Do it for us.

That also certainly beats out any CTR conversion.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, the ASM S2k dry carbon body panels are 55k, and that's just the panels, with no Titanium frame.
