Q#*&^#% wrecked car.

ok. so i was crusing down the highway after a car show. and an XB cuts me off, sees a tire in the road then cuts back, leaving me with no choice to hit it because i couldnt see it until he moved. i swerved off the side of a steep grassy hill, then recovered and ended up back on the road, but sideways. and a car full of illegal immagrants hits me. 3 aibags deploy (all on the drivers side).

the hispanic driver (who they say was driving) had no license, no insurance, and a dealer tag, and he was drunk. but the cop couldnt prove he was driving so he didnt get a DUI or a driving without license ticket. just a no insurance. its sooo F***ed up and i dont know what im going to do, because its probably going to put down as my fault.

the tire that started it all, yes its a whole retread that came off.

UPDATE: 5-20-08
went to the wrecker yard today and took out all the mods i could. HID kit, LED map lights, led tail license plate lights, and led turn signals. and of course, my Si grille and blue emblem :)

and i called the insurance company, and told them my side of the story, and all i can do is hope for the best, i gotta
call the local rep thats going to be doing my claim and looking at the car tomorrow. and see about a rental car

ill start with interior. fingerprints and a-pillar cover fallen off

sunroof cover not lined up and fingerprints

very dirty cover over airbag and its not lined up right

scuff marks

scratch on window

door seal falling down

chip underheadlight

overspray on the lower grille over the lip

tail light not lined up

bumper not lined up and sticking out

and horribly "matched" paint

damn, that sucks. I know swerving is a natural instinct, but if it happens again, hit the tire. I think that anything you hit in the road is the citys fault, and they have to pay for the damages. If they dont keep the roads clean, its their fault.

i did hit the tire, i wasnt about to swerve at that speed, but i think the tire got wrapped around my wheel and locked it up and sent me over the side

same shit happened to me a while ago. good thing is, your ok. and the car is repairable.

sorry to hear that, but welcome to the club. a guy ran me into a curb a week ago. 2 flat tires and bent rims, and alignment prob later, he doesnt get anything.

yeah i would talk to the city about that. or your states DOT. they may be liable. How did the tire get there? if it felout of a truck someone may have reported the truck it fell out of.
