TW FG2 w/ new D40
i just bought a nikon D40 yesterday and i've been experimenting with it since. i'm completely new to DLSR's so i have a lot to learn and it kinda shows in my pictures. one thing i've always wanted to try during a photoshoot was HDR photography. IMO the HDR came out pretty good, i had a decent tripod but i couldnt find an auto exposure bracketing option on the camera so i had to change the exposures manually. anyways, heres some HDR and two normal shots that came out really blue, lol. c&c welcomed

oh yeah, i have a set of sportlines but i havent came around to getting them installed yet and i'm plannin on getting hyper black rota torques (17x7.5) in the very near future!

Although my cousin might let go of his D300 but so expensive...

Nice pictures. I can't comment on which mode to shoot in since I don't own a Nikon camera. However, I would recommend you shooting in RAW so you can better edit your white balance. They seem a tad off. Here's a very quick edit:

I think you should work on taking normal pictures first before attempting HDR. Play around with the aperture as well as shutter speed. Also shoot in manual mode, it will help in creating HDRs.
