Garage shots! (I mean it.. really in my garage with my new intake!)

Well, here are some shots from my newly modded Civic Si. It's a custom intake that I made for about.. $27? PM me if you'd like to know how I made it!

Basically sawed off the MAF sensor from the intake box.. sanded it down.. and slapped an intake cone on it..

Not to be an ass, but do you really think that gave you any advantage over the stock system? My vote would be that you are probably losing power here. But hey its louder right?

Haha, it's a fair question. But I must say, I didn't loose any HP at all.. I definitely gained a couple whp. I can even upload some videos of the sound of it (it's REALLY loud.. like I just got back from driving around.. and the VTEC blew my ears out). I'll definitely get it on a dyno and see how it does.

and for me to do a DIY, I need posting privileges in that forum.. lol

Top range power, I probably only gained 5 ponies AT MOST. As for mid-range.. I've definitely gained hp and torque.

Ok guys. I've revised the intake because I was getting heat soak (that, and my quarter was suffering... consistently only getting 15.2's) So now the filter is placed in bumper so it is now basically a CAI. And I used all the parts from the stock veins. Tried the quarter again and I ran 14.1's and 14.4's.
