'99 Civic Si Photoshoot! Slammed with new weeelz

So yesterday I helped a buddy install his Tein Basic's and kept them at the lowest setting. He put on his new GP racing wheels, replica of the new VOLK CE28N Time Attacks in white. Looks 10x sicker than before.
GP racing looks to be the new rota or something. Hate it or love it.

He's got a CTR grill and lip too, but hasn't gotten the chance to put it on yet.

Feel free to C&C my pics. I need some tips! Enjoy

Noice shots, as always. Looks like your friend's rear bumper needs some TLC on that black spot.

Here's a few group shots.. my cousin showed up afterwards, but his car was dirty haha

then my car alone. Not particularly happy with the shots of my car. I think it's because I'm tired of shooting it so much. Can't think of any new angles..

It's fine if there's poles or what not near it, but if it's coming out directly behind the car...it distracts the shot as it looks like the car grew something it shouldn't have.

That rolling shot where you see the driver may have been better if the sun was behind YOU, shooting towards him, to hide him a bit with the sun. He's distracting. =P

Thanks for the tip. However, I found that when the sun was behind me on most shots, the white would be totally overexposed. I had my aperture stopped down to about f/12, sometimes f/15. I'll have to play around with it again.

david, you can get them from optionjdm.com. That's the only site I know of that has em. My buddy had them ordered through a local shop.

Yeah, I had that thought too. I was just trying to think of ways to get the driver less in the shot. Maybe get closer to the floor so the door would be obscuring him? Or have him wear sunglasses. =P

Hey hoanger, thanks a bunch, too bad they don't make them in 17-18" yet...

I'm curious how did you pull off that kind of rolling shot? I use my camera primarily for still objects and I'm not very good at taking car pictures sadly.

Yeah, it bothers me too. I wonder if I can PP him out to make it look like a tinted window. Just burn it till I can't see him hahaha

No problem.

I'm still practicing at it. This is actually the first time I got a good rolling shot. It's called panning.
Basically, you stand in one spot and have someone drive the car and pan the camera - move it with the car. You can do it multiple ways.. speed matched in two cars, panning etc. I'm trying to get the hang of it still. Good luck!
