Here is my story...

After I graduated from college, I was offered a job at Mercedes-Benz which permitted me to commute 60 miles round trip. My family has always had Mercedes-Benz, and I myself was a Jeep owner:

1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport - Lifted Off-Road Gas Guzzler!

Both of my Jeeps were gas guzzlers and could not be used for my daily commute to work... I needed a different option, so I did my research and found that the redesigned Honda Civic was a good choice for fuel economy and practicality. Went in to the Honda showroom having my mind set on just a Civic with the bare essentials I needed (i.e. A/C, Heat, AM/FM, and CD). Was always aware of the Si, but never even thought about it because it was overkill for me at the time.

I have been driving a 2007 Civic LX Coupe 5-Speed - Galaxy Grey for about a year and a half, and although it was an excellent car, I needed a bit more pep and excitement. Reading this forum and the posts by you members just made me itch to pull the trigger. I started to realize how different the Si is to the DX, LX, and EX. If anybody went to the NY Auto Show last month, they would have saw the Galaxy Grey Si Coupe they had on the floor. That pretty much sealed the deal for me and the rest is history.

I am a proud, new owner of a 2008 Civic Si Coupe in Galaxy Grey. Thank you guys for assisting me in my decision.

Edit: I still have both of my Jeeps... just traded my 07 LX coupe for an 08 Si Coupe

Congrats, I like you was on this forum everyday..I was already stuck on the Si (Always loved Hondas) but this site just made me want it more.

That's just the thing... I never thought I would own a Honda.

I'm on my 2nd one now...

I had my choice between a Mercedes-Benz C300 Sport with a 6-Speed or the Si. The C300 didn't excite me like the Si did.

That is an unusual change of automotive direction. Offroad jeeps to sporty coupe. Glad you're liking it. God any plans for mods?

Not really a change since I still have both of my Jeeps above. I like to have the best of both worlds. The 94 Jeep for the wintry days, the 00 Jeep for speed, and the 08 Si for daily commuting and practicality.

No plans yet... I'm afraid if I start now, I wont stop
