New to this site, hello! (pics of my cars)

Welp, just wanted to say hey, I thought I'd finally sign up and check this place out, I've posted up on various other forums as well, thought I'd add another to the list. :)

My name is Rob, 22, live in KY and I've had my 06 Si (Tafetta White) since January. I traded a 05 RSX-S in on it. Some people agree with this decision, others do not. As for me, I am quite pleased to go from DC5 to FG2, and enjoy the new Si very much.

I'm a Honda nut in general (even though I can appreciate and lust for other cars as well, I considered a Mustang GT and a new WRX before this Si)... but for some reason I can't make myself break the Honda trend. I started with a 95 Integra LS, and from there went to a 99 Integra GSR, a 01 Prelude, an 05 RSX-S, and now my 06 Si. Hopefully I can hang on to this one for a while before getting the itch again.

Without further ado, here's my Si:

Current Mods:
- HFP Lip Kit
- Fog Lights
- Comptech Springs
- 17x7 5Zigen RSX-6 in Hyperblack
- 20% Window Tint (not shown in pics)

Near Future Mods:
- Hondata Reflash
- Hondata IMG
- Injen SR Intake
- DC Race Header (maybe?)

Future Plans:
I'm considering the race header, but don't know... I went that way on my RSX and it was a little too loud and a little too ricey sounding, despite the nice gains... other than that I wouldn't mind being a Comptech whore like I have w/ past cars and pick up their supercharger (when released)!

And here was my RSX prior to trading it for the Si... the car felt a little quicker in the straights, but the Si whips the DC5's ass in the turns, and in the daily drive in terms of comfort, a nicer stereo, etc. As sexy as the RSX was on the outside, and as quick as it was in the straights, neither make up for the overall driving package and joy I've gotten from the Si. I don't regret it a bit. Here she is though:

Lits of mods:
- A-Spec Lip Kit
- Optional Fog Lights
- 20% Window Tint
- Tein SS-P Coilovers
- Injen Cold Air Intake
- Comptech Race Header (later went to DC)
- Comptech Catback Exhaust

I also had a set of Nitto N555 drag radials on some 16" Slips that I would run at the drag strip. I ran it to a best time of 14.08 @ 98 before I traded her in... but I definately think with a little more time with the car and practice I could have made it see 13's. But that's okay, I've moved on.

Here is the slip and vid from that run.

cars look great, i went from a 02 rsx type s to the new si and i dont regret it one bit either. i agree with what you said that the rsx did feel quicker in the straights, but other than the i think the si is a better overall car.

Nice rides. It would have been hard for me to part with the Type S. You will enjoy the Si I'm sure.

I signed up for 502 about 3 months ago. I put up my first post about an hour ago. I got my Si wheels from legendman. He's on both sites as well. Anyway, welcome aboard and maybe I'll see ya around. It's about time we got some more KY blood on this site.

Yea, if feels a slight bit slower than the RSX straight line, but when I play around with friends in their RSX's it's not too much different... but throwing it around on back country roads it's night and day, and the Si is so much more enjoyable. And I drive an average of 50 miles a day and the comforts, sound system, everything else just makes the daily drive much nicer in the Si. I would never go back.

Yea, I'm mainly active on the local sites to my area, but I've signed up on several other Civic sites, although I do more reading than posting w/ them. But I would like to find a 06 Civic site to become real active with and make "home".

Damn, those are some great-looking pics!!! Professional quality. Great shots of both cars, bro. Welcome to the site. I came over here after some visits to clubsi.com. I quickly bailed on that site basically because it seems that they are still working out some technical glitches on the board...started becoming a pain in the arse. This is definitely my "Si Home". Nice comparo between the Type-S and Si, btw.

I personally think the SI glows in that white but as much as i enjoy cleaning my car it becomes a pain.
