I don't want to have to work my ass off and risk having to drop out of school to keep a car. I have a 4.0 GPA man and I had to quit a job to get that. Car or college. College wins. I'm 32, I shoulda had my degree years ago. I don't want to be 50 years old and still earning what first year grad students earn.

Hopefully 2 or 3 years from now, when I'm staring at my degree on the wall. It'll be worth it.

I don't want to be the pittiful 60 year old security guard that I'm destined to be if I stay on the same path that I've been on for years.

I'm a science major. I want to be a professional nerd.

I'm trying to get my Associates of Science in Geology before I transfer over to the 4 year university for my BS in Environmental Science with a minor in Geology or Forensics.

Here's why I'm selling this car: http://www.tamiu.edu/catalog/current/bs-env-sci.shtml

Thats a lot of studying.

WOW 4.0 - You certainly dont want to throw that out the window.
Nice work - Stay with it - It will be worth it and eventually you will be able to get another toy.

Thanks, Bob. I wasn't expecting a 4.0. I worked and studied my booty off hoping to get at least a 3.0. I was shocked when the advisor showed me my grades. 4.0. I was forced to miss some classes in the beginning of the semester due to work. I quit two jobs because they were conflicting with my schedule. It when I saw that grade that I knew something had to give job wise.

Oh and I was the 50% percentile in my graduating highschool class. I had a whopping 2.67 the day I got my diploma. I feel much better now.

Cool - What a great way to be shocked. Sometimes it just takes a little while to get on track. Its taken me many years to get on track (not saying I'm some sort of a standard) but thats just the way things went with me. A long time to realize some things that would have done me better to realize when I was a younger man.
Good luck to you - I'm sure you'll do fine.
