after we use photomatix then what do we need to use photoshop for? doesn't photomatix do it all for you?

eh, i dont think so, i take it into photoshop and edit how i like to edit any picture HDR or not.

dont forget to tone map it in photomatix before saving/exporting it.

HAHAH I think people are doing alot of other things to make their hdr's suck maybe not tone mapping them and leaving them that horrrible untone mapped look will help.

i was testing it in this picture what you guys think? this is my first time and my first pic in HDR. oh i know i messed up on the sky but too lazy to fix it, that why it dark.

the tree and grass look fine. But the sky looks overexposed, but overburned as well lol
I find that when you use HDR and you get the sky with no clouds or anything that can properly underexpose, you get exactly what you got.
Since theres no shadows in the sky, no matter what kind of exposure you got or how many shots you took, it will look like that.

i try to make it as real as possible but yea. it only my first time. need lots of practicing. how do you remove the purple fringing on top of my tree? photoshop right?

^^ the placement of the cars is not so appealing in that one, but the exposure looks good

the vette looks a little out of focus, and that HDR has too much saturation.

edit: saturation isnt the word, it just looks too bland.

07whitefg, it looks almost as the pic has been resized in a bad way. The lines of the car, the words on the sign and the wheels look very pixelated. Good picture, but the pixely-ness is off to me.
