Like I said before I own a D80 and just thought the Nikons across the board, even the D40 feels better in my hand than an XTi, but thats just my opinion.

As far as the controls, up until my D80 I had Canon P&S cameras my whole life and it wasn't until I felt both cameras in person that I decided to go with the Nikon, and the controls couldn't be easier IMO just like the Canon's I'm sure its just a matter of using the camera and getting used to it.

Read that owners manual, and play around with ISO and WB asap!

Thats what I thought....

There isn't an FG that low.

And a recent pic of my friends accord to contribute... My friend wanted me to try a little selective coloring.

Thanks man, I just wish his wheel wasn't so dirty and photobucket didn't suck so much. Honestly I lose so much color saturation and contrast when uploading my pics to photobucket. I think I am gonna start using flickr.

Haha, my car is one of the lower FG's I've seen and I can only imagine how that would have driven as low as it was.

Sorry to hear about that, but if you have some free time I would highly recommend reading your owners manual front to back atleast once. In fact thats what most photographers recommend people do when they get a new camera or its their first DSLR.

And yes I like using selective coloring every once and a while.

I love flickr compression. Colours stay the same but once you view the pics in 500xw/e pixel, it looks like its slightly sharper too. So clean. Nice pics!

yeah i definitely need to start an account.

How do their accounts work? Does it cost money?

Here is a pic of my car I shot today.

EDIT:

PHOTOBUCKET

VS.

FLICKR

Photobucket actually looks a little better. I guess that what you get when you use a free hosting site.

And one more...

Even when i over compensate for the loss of contrast and color saturation from photobucket my images still don't look the way I want them too.

Awesome background! Colours really pop.
Flickr has a free and paid account option.
I was using their free one for a while and didn't mind it.
Only reason I paid for pro is to get more sets
Sets are like albums or folders for organizing pics and showcasing them.

Thanks for the info man, I signed up for an account and uploaded these two images but I feel like an idiot because I can't find the image tags so I can post them to see if there is any difference.

The .jpg tags?
Right click on the image and click Properties maybe.
If you have firefox, right click and "Copy Image Location"

nice shots dt07si!
that second one looks great, especially cause the light on the rear quarter almost makes it look like you've got rolled fenders or a wide fender at the back
what lens? 12-24? 10-22?

Thanks man! Shots were taken with my Tokina 12-24 with a Hoya Pro 1 UV filter. I need to save up the money for the 77mm HMC Circular Polarizer.
