It really depends on what you're looking for. If you want power and performance, go with the Si (but it only comes in a manual transmission, keep that in mind).
If you want better fuel economy, still good looks, and the ability to use non-premium gasoline, go for an EX. Si: 197 hp engine 6 speed manual gearbox Red bacing on the interior (guages, etc) 8K RPM redline Premium Fuel only Limited Slip Differential Tire Pressure Monitor (08 models only) Vehicle Stabuility Control (07+) EX: Heated leather option (EX-L models, 08 only) 140 hp engine 5AT or 5MT transmissions Better gas milage Doesn't require premium Blue bacing (much nicer, imo) Tier pressure monitering system (08 only) Personally, it comes down to what you want. We can give you all the advice in the world, but we need to know what you like in a car. The Si definitely has a few issues that aren't in the non-Si models (3rd gear, etc) but you really can't go wrong either way. Just be aware that the interior materials are high qualtiy, but incredibly scratch prone, and some owners have a lot of issues with rattling, scratching, chipping and other issues. It seems to be hit or miss: you either have it or dont. Or don't care I suppose. If you tell us more about what you like, we could recommend better.

Thx for ur input, i definitely took the Si out of the picture because its manual, ( i dont know how to drive a stick). Personally, i'm not going to race with it, but make it look good. Ive seen some pretty hooked up (visual) honda civic '07 so i was leaning towards that just because you could do plenty with it, Now with the '08 since its new and all i wasnt sure when the parts would be available so what do you guys think?

Don't not go for the Si only becasue you don't know how to drive manual...My first car was manual...Belive me do yourself a favor and learn it...If you don't like it then get auto...becasue who knows you may drive manual down the road and love it...Good luck with your choice

^ For the most part, that is true, however, there are a few exceptions.
The 2006 Si does not have VSA at all, whereas it is standard on the 2007 models. As a result, the area of the left of the dash, where, on the 2006 Si models, held the "hole" for the Fog Light button, on the 2007 models, that is the place where the VSA on/off button is. For 2007 Civics, the fog light switch is on the stalks. As far as looking the same its true, but the rims of the 2007+ Si turned a darker gray gunmetal color, compared to the almost whitish silver of the 2006. Also 2007+ models have Si embroidered in red on their floor mats.

As opposed to having a black font on red background for the area under the tach that displays the maintence minder and trip meter, etc, 07+ Si models now use a red text on black background. I eprsonally think it looks much nicer and sexier, but I think it looks tacky as hell that they didn't follow suit by changing the radio bar (clock area) to match it on non-navi models.

I think the only thing that WON'T fit directly is the foglight switch. Other than that, no major physical changes that won't make something NOT fit.
Get an Si, seriously. I'm 24 and I learned my first ever manual car after one "lesson" and a need to get to work.

The EX models come with better brakes (I believe), 16" rims, more exterior colors , different seat fabric pattern, a standard sunroof, steering wheel radio controls and a few other things that I can't remember off the top of my head.

One thing I would consider the EX over the LX is the front/rear disc brakes. You also get the Navigation option on EX and EX-L. There's also alloy wheels on the EX, a sunroof, and the option for the EX-L, a leather appointed EX. Quote:
