Hello from RI..

Hi all,

Just joined hoping to make my almost non-existing knowledge of cars grow.

Bought an 07' Civic about a month ago, and cant wait to start modifying it. Not like I really know what to modify. That's what my fiance is for :]. He joined as well, (JPC), and he has an 06' Si.

I ended up going with the LX , and though have had some regrets for choosing that over the EX, I think in the end I'll be satisfied. There is a lot of work I want to do with it, exhaust, wheels, intake, lights, etc, so I'm looking forward to reading through all the threads to see what can be done.

Welcome to the 8th, and congrats on buying a very good car. Search and click around some of the DIY threads and I'm sure you'll find Mods that just grab your attention. Trust me, I did. I have a list on my computer, but not enough funds to do them all. Hope the car turns out to be everything you want it to be. and tell your fiance that the SI is not the end all be all car if he ever starts babbling about how much faster it is than the R18's we drive. Trust me, my gf does it all the time...

Anyway, I'm glad you joined up...the Ocho is a great place to learn about the 8th gen.

Welcome and congrats on your greta purchase. I came here with literally no knowledge at all, but witht he plethora of info availible on this site, im learning quickly.

As someone above mentioned, check out the DIYs, there are some great, cheap mods that are pretty neat.

Some that I recommend:
- Clearing headlights
- License plate relocate or License plate flip
- Si grille on EX/LX/DX
- Custom emblem in EX/LX/DX (with Si grille) <-- written by me

There so many more too.

Lol, as no newbie to forums (I usually stick to horse ones though), I laughed when I saw how off-topic it got :]

As for the Si, suuuure I would have loved to buy it, but oh horror, I don't know how to drive a manual. Flame me now, yes.

Oh, and I live pretty much right on the Providence border.
