oh so the hatch is like a coupe and the type R is similar to the SI. GOTCHA

well i finally got on this site also ive been on fgcoupe for a while but i figured i would try this one. but here is my baby..mods are:aem cai,dcrh,dcexhaust,seibon CF hood and trunk,import trenz rear drag spoiler,jdm sidemarkers,20%tint,tein s-techs,velox zeta k's 18's,nitto neogen 225/40,si radiator cap,comptech ss,progress rear sway,tanabe 4pt. brace im pretty sure thats it...

Hi everyone, i'm new to this forum, but have been a member of 7thgen for a while now. Since I know I'm going to get an 06-07 Si eventually, I might as well join this forum :) BTW, Nice red Si, i like the look that the carbon hood gives it.

i've been online looking at pics and dreaming about getting an SI. well i finally got off my butt yesterday and attempted to make some calls. i had heard you have to order the SI model and be patient. the local dealers here in tulsa said near 3 months. i had been debating over the SI and a new GTO. let me tell you the GTO almost had me.... specially since i could go test drive them 3 miles from my house... i called OKC and dallas. dallas seemed to want to put body packages on the SI and sell them for 26k?

anyhow, my local dealer had a rep SI in the back of the dealership, so i went down to look at it, maybe sit in it... it was white, i thought WOW, talk about nice looking!!! got in, checked it out, they said i couldn't drive it. then said i could drive it around the dealership, but not out in the streets. ha! couldnt get it out of first! we talked and i decided to hold off for another week.

later that afternoon, the dealer calls back and says he has one coming in in 10 days, and the guy that ordered it canceled, he wanted to know if i wanted it. without hesitation i said hell yeah! then asked him what was on it and what color it is. (white) i think it was the standard options, no navi. the dude that ordered it has been waiting since april 21st.

long story short, i should get my SI in around the 4th of july! i was so pumped. after hearing all day how i was going to have to wait for 3 months....

it is hard to wait 10 days, i can't imagine having to wait 3 months.....

guess i got lucky

Nice. The Si is nice. The Gto seems good. 5.0 v6 or v8. Theyre powerful especially a 6 speed. but remember its still a pontiac.

Welcome bud. Glad to see you made it over here. Alot of great info in here. If you have something that you've found or came up with the would help please post.

Hey guys,
Just bought a 06 gg si w/ fog lights. So far I love it. Drove it back from la and it was a pleasant and fun ride. Got 30 mpg, for the first tank of gas I didnt think that was too bad, not to mention I was driving the most economical. This is my first honda, and so far so good. Look forward to a little modding and having fun.

I love driving it, but I haven't yet been able to hit that regular 30mpg, more than likely from half my drive through side-streets and my noobness with a standard car.

The car's freakin' awesome, and I love the slightly down-low attitude it puts out with the color.

I've been posting around a bit before, and I'm only now introducing myself. I usually don't have a freakin' clue what I'm talking about, either. :)
