chalk one more for the newbies
i just bought a 2008 honda civic si and i actually found this site after browsing around so that i can have more than one avenue of info than hondacivicforum.com. great site and some of its peps recommened this site. so i figure the more peps to draw knowledge from the better. i still wet behind the ears when it comes to cars. my goal is to get my car up to 300whp, guessing that that will be enough and still be a reliable dd. gonna wait for the warenty to expire before i do anything though so til then its research,research,research. lastly i'm a Marine currently stationed in Newburgh Ny and would appreciate if anyone in the area would like to kinda mentor me when it comes to my car.

New Civic Owner
Hey Everyone! I just bought a new 08 civic si sedan yesterday and I love it! Looking forward to learning from everyone here. This is my first Honda. I am not sure how to post pics. Can anyone help?

Well hello.. i don't really do forums but i should start. Ive had a 2006 Rally red LX civic, ive put a sub and 18" SPYN MOTIV's, and a Badgeless grill w/ mugen emblem.. but wasn't into it... at the time couldn't afford a SI and 06 lx civic didn't come in white. So now since early january me and my big bro are crusing in Si's. he actually sent me the link to this site. So yea our family car crazy,

sixshift- nah the G 35 belongs to my girlfriend's dad. its his toy but unfortunatly he likes it stock and doesn't want to mess with it. could do so nice power upgrades if he would. and the scion tc in the back is my girlfriend's. again another not driven to improve the car.

Just got my '08 Si Coupe for Chrimbo. Went with the Nighthawk Black.

So far I love it like nothing else I've ever owned. It's a major upgrade from my last ride which happened to be a '96 Ford Explorer.....ugh.

So glad I'm through with that. Wasn't a bad vehicle, motor-wise. But just about everything else broke on it, and I'm not one to abuse my ride.

But I'm happy to join this forum, and I've got a lot of plans for my Civic already.

Thanks for all the info I've already gathered from this site! It's been a huge help!

Here I am. Names Jeremy. Rippin' around town on the bus if not my 81 Toyota 4x4 or my Suzuki SV1000s. When I'm a good husband, I get to drive the Civic. It's an 07 Si Sedan. HFP 18s and body kit. Currently sporting those 17" Stock Silver Si Rims.

What's up guys.

My names Matt, I'm from Hilliard Ohio. (right outside Columbus).

Right now I got a 2000 Accord V6 but as I just hit the dreaded 100k mile mark. I'm gonna move onto an 08 SI coupe in the spring. Plus I want a freaking stick. .

Here's a bit on the accord.

16' BBS Rims, Custom Painted Black

Tinted Taillights

Tint - 20% Rear, 50% Front
Black Chrome Emblems

I think thats it.




I already got plans for the SI coming too. Planning on a white or black one. I do love the tafetta white. So we'll see. .

For SI within this year...

Changing HIDs over
Tint - 50% F, 20% Rear
Nightshade Tails (maybe)
CAI
Exhaust
Debadging the Civic (I see the SI as it's own form of car. Like a Dodge SRT-4)

Light mods, but I'll have the SI for awhile. So many more to come. So that was my extended intro. See ya guys around. Oh and I'm on OhioCustoms.com, OhioHondas.com, and V6Performance.net. Well, those are my active ones least.

Finally postin up some pics
Hey fellow 8th gen owners, my name is Matt and ive been a member here fro a while but havent posted any pics of my Si yet so.... here goes. Only mods that i have are weathertech visors, jdm emblems, mugen license plate bolts and an NRG dry carbon lic. plate frame. Pics are crappy cuz i used an old digital camera. And i messed with the color alittle.
