Hey whats up everyone. I am brand new to the site. Yeah my first post. I just bought a 2008 Civic Si in the habanero red color. I am very happy with it so far. This is my first honda. Bought it cause a couple of my buddies have older civics and they are extremely happy with them. I previously had a 2003 BMW 325Ci that had to get rid of cause it was giving me alot of problems and was constantly getting more expensive to fix. So now I own a a 08 Si. I am a Rotary Enthusiast at heart. I own a 1981 Toyota Starlet with a Mazda 13B swap it is almost done and should run low nine second quarter mile times with hope of working my way into high 8 second 1/4 miles. Well some of my plans with the civic for now is to go with the n/a set up and later on get some nitrous action going on. I am new to the honda engines so I can use as much help as I can from you guys. About me I am a soldier in the U.S. Army. I have been doin this for almost 5 years now. Been to the war and back thanks to god and support from family and friends. I was born in hoboken, nj and grew up in puerto rico. Hopefully you guys will accept me as one of your own and give me as much help as you can with this little project that i wanna get started. I know from my part with every little piece of knowledge that i learn and acquire I will always be willing to give everybody a helping hand.

Hey all! Just wanted to say that I don't own a civic yet but I'm getting a LX Sedan next year and I can't wait. I have to admit, this forum is highly addictive and everyone here is nice and supportive. 8thCivic ROCKS!!

I've been registired here for a while, but I've been lurking and trying to build information on my civic LX.
There are some things I want to do to my civic, but have either found no info or got more confused because of all the options and/or possiblities. ![]() I come from an off road and truck back ground, so while the onroad and civic details are new, mechaniclally I know how to work on vehicles and understand how they work. Anyway, this is a great site with tons of information and great people with tons of information!! I'll start my thread soon with the question I'm looking for. Glad to have found this!! ![]() |

Hey dere!
Just picked up my new EX-L and after doing some searching and lurking , this appears to be the best Civic forum for the latest generation. Was looking to replace my 2005 Subie Outback with a high mileage DD/around towner for my second car (main ride is a 2006 RAV4 4WD Ltd V6). Live in the snowbelt in Upstate NY, and the Outback was a great snowmobile, but will be moving down South sometime next year, so I figured I better unload the northern ride while I'm still here. Love the EX-L, appears much roomier than previous versions, nicely appointed interior and features, nice ride for a vehicle its size. Especially like the way the VTEC feels relaxed at highway speeds with the 5 speed auto tranny (Hey, I'm an ol' man!) Like to do a lot of the maintenance myself, and I noticed this forum has an interesting DIY section which has already answered some of my newbie questions. See y'all around........... ![]() OC |
