Hi everyone, we picked up our new Civic last Friday and this is the first Honda we have owned. Had mainly Mazdas, Nissan, Toyota and Hyundai. Must say we are mighty impressed with this car. We are is Sydney, Australia and the Civic was only released last month. There is already a two month waiting list. The Civics imported to Australia are made in Thailand but it is hard see any difference in quality compared to a Japanese import. Our model is called a VTi-L which features 1.8 liter (103kw)- we don't use hp in Australia anymore. 5 speed manual with cruise control, 15 inch alloy wheels, ABS brakes, four air bags, climate air and 6 stack CD with MP3. The tail lights are as per the Japanese Civics and the four door sedan has the three spoke steering wheel seen in the Coupe. The coupe is not available in Australia. The only option we had fitted was a rear spoiler.

Hi All,

First post, purchased 2006 Honda Civic Sedan Auto Oct. 28th, and loving this car. Much improved over my wife's 2004 civic.

well, i guess this isn't exactly my first post, im saying hi!

I plan to buy my EX tomorrow :) (monday) It will prob come within a week. I'm in Can, so i can't get the colour i really want (only on the csx here (a little to much for my blood at the moment), however, i'm very excited!

I'll be sure to post pics when i get it :)

There are 13 miles on my new '06 SI. I have had it for 3 hours and am going crazy because I can't drive it until I change my insurance policy, something I have to do during the weekday. Ahhhh!

But I did sit in my parking lot and play with the navi. :)

Thank you Silver8th. I put my deposit down in mid-december, so I have been waiting for about 3.5 months. My dealer didn't charge over sticker, I don't know if that is common or not (?).

I'm currently waiting for my GG '06 SI to come in. Until then, I'm trying to determine what will be done first. A/V or wheels/tires/suspension are the two main options at the moment.

Whats up everyone.

its my first day on this this site. Picked up my 06 NBP Si with summer tires, March 9th. I was looking at it beginning of Jan. No suprise, no dealership around my area had one for a test drive, forgot about it. got a call 8th of March from a dealership about 35 mins. visited and test drove, gave me a hard time since i did not have my check ready. gave me the whole after i gave them my credit card to hold the car "my manager wont let do it because they probably have people coming in to look at it." I should have just said forget it i guess its a black Si and supposedly long waiting time, i fell for it but whatever. Finally gave me til friday to get everything finalize with the bank. got it got msrp I couldnt wait so got everything straightened by thurs. it was a good day!! Sorry but the whole life story!

anyways, Glad im here! South jersey 06 Si owners, where you at?!

I just ordered my EX, Auto 4 door, Silver (or black - i still can't decide!), with leather wrapped steering wheel, and ipod hook up :)

I should get it late this week or early next week.

PS its my first owned car, so i'm very excited :)

I just bought a GG EX AT sedan for my wife and found this site. It is going to be very helpful with questions I have about the car! This '06 is the first Honda that I have owned. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of aftermarket parts yet but I am guessing the car is too new yet. I always want more power but I want to keep it civilized to keep the wife happy(I have my truck for the uncivilized part)
