It's a step down. Honda to a FORD

I'm extremely happy with the build quality of my Civic. Don't like the dealership, there's one on every corner

Anyway, good luck with your For...I mean Mazda!

I've had a mazda6 and it was a pretty good car. But the Mazda3 is so slow. I used to beat them with my base auto. If you wanted Mazda, I would have only went with a RX8, or the Speed3.

I guess I expected this kind of reaction, im glad you guys are happy with build quality. The mazda3 is built and shipped from Japan which quality control is a lot better then: half Canada build and US so not really a ford, and its ford europe not US which the civics are built buy. same platform as: (Volvo S40, European Ford Focus, Ford Focus CMAX, etc.) Do your research before you post.

Well Ford has a controlling stake in both Mazda and Volvo, obviously. The Mazda IS a Ford, if you want to get techinical. Saabs are built in Sweeden but they're still a GM arm.

The Mazda3 is a good car. But I prefer the Civic. I have two friends with Mazda3's and they've had a few problems each. Hopefully yours will serve you better.

I have also have had friends with the 3 with no problems.
all im saying is that its not build in the US or Canda which i would prob avoid again buying because my civic and my very first car which was a 01 zx3.

I really wanted a coupe but this mazda3 had every thing from looks to performance, as far as it being slow 150+hp is good enough not going to be street racing ricers anywyas. Plus not on a wire throttle which had lag.

I have ridden in them, several of them

The Mazda3 has a stiffer, sportier feel than my EX, but that's about it.

I've ridden in them. They're faster than an ex, and handle better too. But then again so is an si. And I really don't see where you're coming from with the build quality, but then again my only complaint with my si is that the door panels scuff too easily.
