Houston Newbie

Hey everyone,

I've been lurking for a little while and decided to introduce myself.

Name's Neil, (family calls me Leo <--middle name), and I just got a Certified Preowned Honda Civic a couple of weeks ago. This scene is completely new to me, but I love cars in general. I used-to be in the offroading scene, big time. I've owned a 73 Bronco and a 90 Jeep Wrangler that were mildly built-up. So... uh... yeah... this is a "tad" different than what I'm used-to. In the offroad scene, we like flexy suspensions, and it appears that you boys/gals like stiff ones... This may take me some time to catch up.

Here's my car:

It's an '06 EX Sedan and is my daily commuter 2 weeks out of the month. It's pretty nice and so far so good. It's an auto, that's the only thing I don't like about it, but I wanted that moonroof pretty badly. The only stick they had didn't have one... They had some Si's, but I kind-of like "gas mileage." :)

Any way, I'm sure I'll have a bunch of questions down the road and I'm glad to have found this site.

I had the EX when I first started. The SI sedan is It's worth the hit in gas mileage. I went from 35-38 mpg in the EX to about 27-29 in the SI but it's worth it.

Maybe later on... I'm new to the scene and really have no idea what I want to do with the car. I know that I won't be making it all "fast and furious." I'm just looking to keep it clean.

An SI is not practical when you have a wife and 2 kids, too.
