Cool, welcome to the 8th! There are certain things that give away that its a ss/sc rather than just the ss model. Different front end, tall spoiler to name the most obvious.

Lol isnt that the truth?! U said some ppl have problem distinguishing the two varietes. so to make this thread more interesting and have more ppl in it, why dont u post something about the two varieties. I know the difference to a point. Its not a bad car either...but I dont trust american cars....no offense lol

i bought mine feb '06 and i just use it for a DD.. its my first 4-cylinder car i have ever owned and i am pleasantly pleased with it..i tryed to look at the SI but the dealer i went to said i had special order one and no "test drives" were allowed.. yeah well.. that kinda ended that.. as far as problems with the car.. i havent had anything.. but alot of guys do have problems with little shit like cluthes (i blame it more on lack of experience) the 05/06 wing can be misleading.. alot of ss/sc will take off the high-rise and trade it with a 2.2/2.4 low-rise wing... also 07's ss/sc do not come with the high-rise.. you might be able to get it special ordered.. but its not "stock" if you can't see under the hood or if you dont hear the blower whine.. its not a 2.0... thats pretty much the only way you can truely tell.. i have not met 1 ss/sc owner that hasnt atleast modified the intake to let the whine be vocal Last edited by acidangel_5.0; 04-30-2007 at 04:45 PM. |

welcome..I raced a ss/sc stage 2 the other day,claiming 265whp I pulled on him 1st-2nd
then his 3rd left me one car length, then we got on the interstate from a 40 roll I got 2nd-3rd,then his 3rd pulled up next me and then his 4th left me 1 1/2 car length.. I expected more from that power and his gears are pretty long! maybe it was the driver...that thing was screaming though, sounds nice!! but turbo ftw!! |

im located in the Atl.
car is pretty much stock.. i have a torque bracer to try to get rid of some wheel hop and a Fujita CAI.. i do have the GM stage II in the garage with a 2.9" pully (gm stage II is a 3.06" compared to our stock 3.3xx").. i just havent had time to install it... just gonna throw on some exhaust after that and call it quits.. it should sit me around the 24x-26x range and should be enough for the DD. 2nd/3rd are our major power gears and they are long as hell... 3rd definantly is our best though without a doubt... and with the intake.. they do scream like mad.. i cant wait to put on the 2.9 and really hear it |
