Exclamation HPF Kit OEM wheels with spacers...ANYONE???

I think that the OEM wheels looks better with some spacers if you have the HPF body kit. Anyone notice that or it just me?

I agree with you... the wheels look very 'sunken in' with the lip kit on, but I am just weary of putting spacers on.

I completely agree with this and would love to see an example of someone that had did this.

I'm running 3mm spacers but I don't have the lip kit.

No clue what size spacers I had, but the tire store refused to put them on for me when I swapped the SI wheels to my LX

What about tire size? Will using 225/45-17 tires make up the difference? I don't have my HFP front and rear under lip spoilers (don't like the side skirts) installed yet. But with 17" HFP wheels I don't think I need spacers with this setup.

I'm running 20mm spacers in the front. Doesn't look too bad, much better than stock that's for sure. No rubbing issues either.

Depends on your offset too. With a 225 tire, you don't want a big drop either because you'll bottom out on your inner fender/wheel well.

Thumbs up

Would like to hear/see a good solution.

I have noticed that the wheels look sunk in with the kit too ~

Why? are spacers bad or something? Are there any "risks" involved w driving w spacers?

Increased stress on the wheel bearings. Plus if they aren't spacers with extended wheel studs, there's less thread for the lugs to hold on to depending on how wide the spacers are.

Yeah of course! Not planning to lose my wheels and kill myself anytime soon, haha.

Wow, looks nice with the spacers, but you have Si wheels. It would be nice to see what this would look like with the OEM LX/EX wheels. I have the HFP kit on my sedan, but no spacers, so I can only show pics of what it looks like w/o spacers.
