just a small update...

got my acura tl-s key in last week and i getting help from mid-atlantic memeber who happens to be a tech at a local honda dealership. only thing was that their key cutting machine was down so its on hold til they get it fixed.

the blank needs to be cut, and the immobilizer would have to be programmed by a tech through hds. if everything goes right i will have a DIY on how to program the keys...

just a couple of pics:

now the acura emblem does stick out unlike our honda keys. it is also slightly bigger. once i get the acura emblem off im going to see if blue rocket can make the current stickers for our keys a tad bit bigger to cover up the acura emblem.

small update...

got the key cut yesterday and got the immobilizer programed, but we were unable to program the buttons (unlock/lock/trunk/panic buttons) one thing we did notice while trying to program the buttons is that it asked while programing if the key was a swtichblade key or not, and the tech i was working with hasnt seen that before. so at that point things looked, but in the end we werent able to get it to work. so i left there with a key that and manually open doors and start the car.

so i got home and i totally forgot that tha tl key has a memory function on the keys and that there is a memory 1 and memory 2 key now in order to program the buttons the memory function needs to be disabled in order for the buttons to be programed... now im just trying to see when i can swing by and see that tech again...

cliff notes: cut key and programed immobilizer. couldnt program buttons (unlock/lock/trunk/panic) maybe because the memory function on the key wasnt disabled and im going back with the key disabled and try over again.
