New to 8th gen Civic
Hi guys, I'm new to 8th Gen civic. Just picked up an 07 EX auto. Definitely wanted a manual Si but wife wanted auto, doesn't mean I can't play with it. I used to have a 92 Acura Integra GSR that I woke up everyday wanting to customize something. Now that we got the Civic, I'm getting the itch again. Want to get on here, share thoughts, get help, hopefully get ideas and DIY stuff. Here are some pics. The first pic is the two cars me and my wife have now, the second pic is off the lot, the third is of the aftermarket navigation/DVD/Bluetooth/iPod head unit it came with. It was all stock besides the head unit. Let me know what you guys think.

I saw there was a Jdm engine cover for the r18 also looks like 9th Gen r18 engine cover. Probably gonna get 9th Gen even though Jdm one looks better. I just can't get myself to pay $80 to $100 for an engine cover. Probably gonna be first thing I do. Maybe get dome foglights after that. Looking into rims later. Really want some other OEM rims that aren't on civics. Maybe Tsx or rsx or maybe even csx rims.

Welcome to the 8th. Since you mentioned you wanted some OEM wheels check out this thread has alot of different OEM wheels so it will give you an idea whats out there and how it will look. I have hub caps and was gunna try and get a set like the ones you have but opted on getting some RSX Type S wheels. Just bought them today but its gunna be while till I mount them cuz they didnt come with tires and mine are still in "OK" condition. Anyway theres lots of info on here that will help you. Since you didnt get an Si here is a thread that lists performance parts available.

Man I love those civic type r / csx rims. Anyone know where to get those? I've seen some people selling the si rims here locally (Tampa) on craigslist but would like to go with something different.

No not yet, probably gonna do engine start button or some thing because the aftermarket head unit didn't have a spot for the srs light so I cut it out for it but it wasn't perfect so I gotta find something else to put there

Successfully installed S2K engine start button this past weekend. Doesn't light up though, found out the bulb is dead. Gonna go to u pull junkyard and take a bunch Neo wedge bulbs out of old civic and integrals and accords. Gonna take like 20 of em. I hate it when bulbs in buttons/switches go out.

Wired it the way that the wiring diagram ob here says. Found out that the bulb was dead though cause i put the bulb from the passenger airbags off light on there and it came on.
