Snow in ARIZONA?

So in the more southern parts of Arizona snow is really rare. I moved here in '99 and haven't seen a tinge of snow in Phoenix/Tucson. But today.... it snowed (and melted within an hour or two).

Very exciting and thought I'd share a picture w/ everyone :]

Please send some snow to the East Valley, AZ. It's too warm for winter. I am very happy to see rain for the last three days. It must be a miracle to get rain and cold around here!

Yeah some friends told me it snowed in Phoenix/Scottsdale in certain areas. I guess it never really touched ground for too long though

No, it's a forest now. The new housing communities and freeway pop up everywhere in the valley, and they planted more trees. It’s growing very fast, and we're the fastest growing state in U.S. The East Valley (Chandler, Gilbert and Queen Creek) and Scottsdale, AZ are among the cleanest cities in U.S.

There is no sand in the valley. You have to go to AZ and CALI border to find sand dooms!
