Talking Old guy Civic owners unite!!

New guy here. Just picked up an ASM Civic EX Sedan AT a few days ago.
Checking out the age thread makes me feel pretty old, I'm 32. Didn't think I'd ever own another small car again after driving full sized trucks and suvs for several years. But when the family and I went to pick up our 06 Honda Ody EX last year. The dealer had a silver 06 Civic EX with /nav in the showroom which caught my attention. Thought it was pretty damn nice looking. Thought nothing of it for a year.
Was time for a new car, researched several cars, trucks, suvs for months. Was 99% close to getting an FJ Cruiser but the Toyo dealers are d*cks and wouldn't budge on MSRP. So after some for searching, decided on the civic. For the price, you can't beat it. No regrets.

I'll likely tint the windows and that's about it. I'll live through the mods you younger Civic owners are doing. Just doesn't look right with 2 car seats in a dropped Civic.

Welcome. You'll find quite a few civic owners here are in the 35-50+ age range with a few moving into their 60s.

Welcome to 8th! There's plenty of 30+ year olds around and plenty with no mods at all. I'm in both categories.

Ya I'm 34 and love my Si. Most of my peeps in Vancouver are in their 20's. But hey, I'm a kid at heart and love going on cruises with them. I don't think(hope) that I will ever grow up.

Thanks for the welcome. Really enjoying the Civic. Just having a tough time adjusting to the size. Not a huge guy, a tad over 6' with shoes and about 210#, with the seat adjustments and steering wheel adjustments I'm pretty close to getting comfortable. Had a coworker in the car today for lunch, he's a bit bigger than I am and noticed the amount of leg room he had. He's a truck guy and was really impressed with the car. But we were literally shoulder to shoulder.

Been checking out the audio/visual board and I think I'll likely get an aftermarket navi. By the way, did any of you check out the little black plastic piece inside trunk at the bottom near the weather stripping? I have 3 or 4, 6" to 12" scratches all over the plastic. I'll need to give the dealer a call.

32 and you know how to work a computer? They give you access to one at the retirement home? I'm 37 and bought my '06 civic sedan because nothing could match it for commuting to work. Time to go take my geritol and put on a new Depends :) .

I regularly see an older guy with gray hair driving my car's twin (fiji blue SI) on my commute. Also seen a grandma in a GG SI. It's hard for me to believe it was her car, but she was driving it...

Ouch that hurts
They have no choice but to let me work a computer. I'm a senior (haha) level developer as my occupation and I feel young there as I'm one of the younger ones.
Depends does come in handy when I'm too lazy to walk to the restrooms at work though.
