Well boys and girls I just had to take my car to another level...
before i even go on to the pics i have to thank...
Bear - bizzybearfigiblue
Hugo - civic1217(i think)
and myself :thumb:
All pics are with without the rims completely done...ie. wet, drying, etc etc...
i'll take pics of the final stuff and on the car when it's all done and dry.
now to the pics... So this is what they started out as...
Bronze Gram Lights 57s 18x7.5
cleaning the rims with soap and water
Hugo, Bear, Sickyute
what was used to scuff them up slightly
scuffing them up
On the way to becoming TAs....
Primed and painted red. white primer used to make the red POP
Bear doing the red.
the red foot bandits
notice how the red lip is masked out now.
red being baked!!
out the oven and black all over
peeling away the mask..
mask peeled off but wet
Bear's about to bake the cake after i prepared it :thumb:
The finished product with the rays silver cap...
the finished product with the painted black cap :thumb:
The finished products ... still not dry...
So... in all it took about 5 hours...
1. clean the rims with soap and water
2. scuff them up nicely
3. wash them off
4. dry them up real good
5. primed so that the red pops
6. painted red lip
7. baked 10 mins on 300 degrees for each rim... higher temp cuz oven couldn't close....closed oven would be about 200 degrees and same time
8. cool down period about 20mins in 70 degree weather
9. masked the lip off
10. painted rims black .... 3 coats
11. baked in over 10 mins on 300 degrees
12. cooling down right now

thanks to bear for masking and red lip and staying a while to get it done.
thanks to myself for black portion and vision to make this possible.
thanks to honda for providing my canvas
Thanks to bear...
+ hugo for helping...
Rims of pics on car after a week...that is after i let them cure nicely!!!
PS: i don't want to hear shiznit about buying some real Time Attacks... these are "MY" Time Attacks... the first and probably not the last of it's kind... i found the te37 too boring and the other one too crazy... the 57s was perfect i thought... No better way for me than a DIY... very custom. :thumb:
