FLAMER!! Haha, nah, we all have our own opinions. I was skeptical at first, but last night when I put these new shoes on, I loved it!

Haha, I'm not calling you *** (not that there's anything wrong with that). I meant you're flaming my thread...making fun of me...calling me out...harrassing me...being a jerk...but I was merely joking about that.

Anyway, yeah, that Highlander stole my wheels! Nice find.

Hello Cameron...I was going to do the same to my car. Where do I get spacers? Is the ride and handling the same? I'm in Southern California, so I guess we will not see are cars passing. I have the same model as you. Thanks Jeff

Jeff, good questions. You can get spacers at Pep Boys or Auto Zone. eBay has some for a little less (that's where I got mine). I got 5mm, but honestly, 3mm would have worked also. The ride is a bit stiffer and I'm pretty sure it handles slightly better than before. I had the car up to 70 mph this morning on my way to work and I didn't notice any shaking or vibrations. Acura604 has a CSX and says that around 65 mph he was experiencing shaking, so he got the spacers glued to the hubs. Road noise is barely louder, hardly worth mentioning.

Glued to the hub. That sounds like a hassle. Do I really need the spacers? Will it work without? I'm trying to make it as stressless as possible. Jeff

You'll need spacers for the front, because the brake calipers are bigger in the front than in the back. You'll need at least 3mm spacers. That part really isn't a hassle.
Without the spacers, your wheels will rub against the caliber and possibly not allow the wheel to turn.

Others have posted pictures elsewhere that the Si wheel will rub the disc calipers if you don't add the spacers. So yes, you need them unless you plan to shave either your wheels and/or your calipers.

Here are the spacers you will need for the Si Wheels (order two of them):

Are you still experiencing vibration after glueing it down?

Great pics of your car....I am getting ready to order an EX myself with Navi. Did you consider getting the deck lid spoiler? I will post my pics when I take delivery in June.

I thought about getting the lid spoiler, but I have other priorities that I want to spend my money on. If I add that, it'll be one of the last things.

Cameron,

When you switched to the larger Si wheels, did you notice any change in your acceleration, handling, ride quality or fuel economy? How do you like them now that you've had them for a little while?

Thanks

Acceleration: There's no big difference. It feels about the same, even though I believe this wheel/tire combo is lighter than my EX wheels/tires.
Handling: It's MUCH improved. Let's just say I've tested the handling and it's superior with these wheels/tires.
Ride Quality: It's about the same. It's slightly stiffer due to the size of the tire. I've also noticed that they create just a little more road noise, but nothing to worry about.
Fuel Economy: I "tested" the tires quite a bit on my last tank. I'll have more info on fuel economy in about 350-400 miles.

And yes, I like the Si wheels/tires. The look is great and the quality is top notch. I just wish it would quit being spring already. My car is filthy!
