Is that a crack on the front bumper? Or does it have to do with the accident you mentioned?

God help me, I am jonesin' for a CF hood. I want one so bad.

They're expensive, it's purely a vanity thing with no meaningful performance value, but I love how they look.

Besides the price, it's the shipping costs that bring me down. To get one purchased, shipped and installed...ouch...there's a lot of other things that money could be spent on.

But I still want one. A lot.

man its not that bad at all, our sponser V1 had the best price by far for a shipped hood, and the install couldnt be easier, four bolts on and off maybe a lilttle adjusting and your done! at least thats all it was for me

yeah i saved the money doing all those mods myself, hood, grille, fogs, exhaust (used lidt a mech shop around the corner from my house) and the short shifter, ended up going with seibon cause it seemed like everyone was having good luck with em!

I'm at a disadvantage there. Unlike others here, I have no mechanical experience, my friends aren't mechanically inclined either. I'm reluctant to buy the tools and start trying to learn this stuff now, using my own precious car as a victim of my amateur efforts. Even If I did succeed, it'd take five times as long as a normal person.

The only good thing about that is that it makes me thing twice about which mods I really want. It helps limit my ambition. I don't mind paying a shop if it's a mod I really want, and want to have installed. I'd MAYBE get involved in a group install type thing. If there's a diagram, or DIY thread, I'd look at it.

I haven't decided yet. Which do you recommend? And what was the installation experience like? I wonder if local shops ever carry VIS or Seibon CF hoods? (Seattle) Or is it pretty much ordering and shipping the only way to get it?
