my 2 cents, after seeing so many people say "all you need is a drop now" in so many threads.
grrr..thing is. people put +2 size wheels on.. then the car looks lifted cuz the tires are so sqare.... then they don't like the look of the gap..soo. now they're into the bank for another few bills for a spring kit.. maybe coilovers... and then camber kit for any drop if you're gonna do it right.. and suddenly your $1000 rim upgrade project costs you at least double that. It's a snow-ball effect isn't it ... oh. and if the climate permits, you're snow-plowing with the civic or draggin up curbs and knocking your exhaust parts around on speedbumps at shopping malls. Mo' problems, mo' money! ![]() ..which is why I went to 17's only.. and chubby 225/45's.... a) keeps the wheel well filled nicely, b) protects the rims for curb-rash cuz of the chunky rubber.. . c) keeps more money in the bank to pay for the mortgage! d) no messing with the suspension at all. 'sall I got.. thanks to JRMArtinez for the pic from the Niagara meet! just a pic with NO DROP.. i often get asked if I've lowered the car, when I haven't at all. Yes.. it COULD be lower, but at what cost, overall?! J. toronto Last edited by yippieguy; 10-01-2007 at 11:08 AM. |

im thinking of adding the pro-kit that a local guy is selling. Says that they are for the coupe. But my question is whether the springs are for all trims including the Si?
Also, would adding the hfp shocks help at all if i were to add these springs. |

P.S. I got the HFP 18" wheels, Dunlop tires, HFP Suspension, and Installation for $2000, so that is a good deal as far as i am concerned, that is $2000 out the door...
