"Ivory" Interior

I just bought a 2007 LX Taffeta White Sedan and I love it to death! The white exterior is absolutely beautiful. My only problem (and it's a HUGE one) is that I absolutely HATE the ivory interior! I know it's entirely my fault for only looking at a little fabric swatch of it because I only had seen the grey interiors (which was the one I test drove). I didn't realize that it was going to be that hideous!!!!!!!!!!! I assumed (which I will never do again!) that it would just be a normal beige color. Not an ugly bright dirty looking yellowish- grayish mixture of complete ugliness! I really can’t handle the yellowish color on the plastics and how they contrast so grossly with the nice gray dash. If I would have known this, I definitely would have gone with a different color that comes with the gray interior.

Oh how I wish the T-White only came w/ the gray (or better yet, black.....that would look so nice)!

I’ve only had the car since Tuseday night, but the interior is just bugging me to death. Other then that, I absolutely adore everything else about the car. I feel like I’m just seriously up a creek without a paddle now for being a total dumbass and not doing adequate research on the interior colors ( I mean I researched everything else to death, I guess this was just the one point I kind of left out).

What should I do now? Do you guys have any suggestions? I love the white exterior, and I guess you can’t just “exchange” a brand new car…….can you? And what are your thoughts on interior conversions and how much do they generally cost? Do you think I just hafta get used to it, and maybe it’ll grow on me?

And honestly (it really won’t insult me) what are your true feelings on this so called “ivory” interior?

I have T-white with tan too, and I agree that the tan is pretty bad. I just try to keep my mind off of it and just enjoy the nice blue dashboard until you get used to the tan. It will take about 2 weeks but you'll be fine.

Well, you can trade it in for the gray interior, but then you'd have to choose another exterior color and lose a grand or two on the trade, OR you could possibly pay a grand or two to have the interior custom done with leather trim of your color choice.

To be 100% honest, I hate that color interior. If I were to get any civic besides and Si, I would make sure that color had at least gray interior. idk what it is but i dispise that "ivory" interior , but on the bright side you have and awsome car, and you could have the interior redone. I honestly have no idea how much it would run you, Im guessing between 500 and a thousand? sumwhere around there. Good luck to you tho, and congrads on the new car, even tho you hate the interior lol.

Yeah, the ivory is a little bit much if you ask me- I usually like ivory (in contrast to black interiors which seem dreary to me); but this ivory is too yellow, just like you said.
I have grey in my Atomic Blue sedan I just picked up and it is really nice- but I think the ivory will probably grow on you a little.
It does say something though that Honda is now making the black with grey interiors in the 07s while the 06s had ivory- I think Honda might have an idea that it's not the most popular of interiors.
Still, though, you have a wonderful car- so try to not let it bother ya.

The panels are actually what bug me the most because they're really bright. But that's a good idea. Leather would look awesome. I guess they'd hafta dye the ceiling too. Does anyone have any clue how much this would cost me.........and does anyone know where to do to get it done? (in NY)

Start searching the Bone yards for wrecked EX's with Black interiors.
Buy up the parts cheap.

Well if you don't like the ivory interior; don't take that car and start whining at the forum about it. (I own a Royal Blue Pearl Civic EX with an ivory interior (Only offered in 2006 model; so i consider it quite exclusive :))

I think its okay; a bit dislike that color since it gets dirty quite easy.. But other than that, I got nothing against it. In my opinion, that color makes your car more lively and makes an impression that your car slightly roomier (don't ask me why)...
