Unhappy SI Accident

All started when a deer runs across the road my father slammed on his brakes in his CRV. I tried to stop too but ended up skidding into the back of the truck. i made about 4500 worth of damages towards the crv and my car is estimated atleast 7grand. becuase the front shape and the fact that its lowered, it wedged under the crv rear bumper bending the chasis on the crv.
The autobody shop says its not alot of damages but its just costly since he has to order new airbags from honda. im just happy the curtain airbags didnt go off too. and the engine is still good. so yeah heres the pics:

on a positive note im getting rid of the dealer drilled plate hole and goin to add some extra $$ so i can get my cf hood. o and the deer is ok too.

THE CRV LOOKS PRETTY NORMAL UNTILL YOU SEE UNDER THE CAR, SKUFFS ON THE BUMPER AND SLIGHT BEND ON THE REAR DRIVER SIDE QUARTER PANEL. I HIT THE CAR AT AN ANGLE TRYING TO AVOID THE CRASH. I DIDNT GET A CHANCE TO TAKE SOME SHOTS I WILL ON MONDAY THOUGH JUST TO KEEP SOMETHING I GUESS.

I slid underneath a friend's mom's Ford Ranger some years ago. Wasn't my fault, but I did about $500 worth of damage. My car, of course, received over $1700 worth of damage, more than the car itself was worth.

I really wish people wouldn't cut other people off or box them in. I pray Karma got/gets their asses.

Damn dude i know how you feel kinda, on wednesday night a guys truck rolled into the front of my white Si, definately not as bad as yours though, maybe you have the answer to my question though, is it possible to have the body shop put on a CF hood insted of a factory one, I ask this because the way the guy hit my ride it might of messed up my latch system and it threw a CEL light so i dont want to start doin things myself and find out i have a whole bunch more problems when i go to put my new hood on. thanks man and best of luck to ya

The bodyshop can do anything you want them to do. Just don't let your insurance talk you out of it, provided you went through them. Some of them will say anything to get all OEM stuff on the vehicle.

If you need any insurance help hit me up..It's what I do for a living...

Here's one option...Get what's called a "cash out". The insurance will send you a check for the damages and you fix or don't fix. The theory here would be that you could take the cash and do most of the body work yourself...Most of that is just removing large parts..."bolt on as they say". If you want you could srew the airbags, fix it mostly yourself and still have enough left for FI! Just my wacked thoughts...

ill let the body shop deal w everything ill be happy w my new cf hood and no whole in the front bumper. im not looking to get money out of this. and since both cars is at the body shop already the insurance will send a guy to look at the car and cut the check out right there and then. thats what happen in a prev accident (not at fault in that one, diff car).

and the owner will tell them what he charges to get everything and try quote them enough to pay for everything needed so i dont have to pay out of pocket for deductable. and like i said before i prob have to add another 200 or so for a cf hood whitch isnt that bad.

as for getting it done through a dealer they prob do everything w oem parts not allowing to change anything. im able to do this cuz i know the bodyshop owner.
