New to the Ocho with my RR Si (w/pics)

Hey everybody! I've been reading up on this forum since I got my RR Si about a month ago, but finally decided to sign up and start talkin. This seems like the best forum out of the few I checked out. People don't seem to be as harsh and condescending here.

A little about me:
I'm a certified mobile electronics installer at one job, and a mechanic at the other. I usually end up being the go-to guy when it comes to questions about audio/video/alarms/remote starters/lights/etc. I've been doing all that stuff for about 6 years. On August 2, I traded in my old car, which was a 2002 Dodge Neon SXT. I had that car pretty well modded, to the point where everyone that saw it was saying "I hate Neons, but I love your car." I loved that car, so please don't hate. So I did my research (including this site) and ended up upgrading to a Rallye Red Si. All I can say is "wow." This car is awesome. So far, I've put on the wheels I had on the Neon (since they have both bolt patterns they bolted right up), some LED accent lighting, Sirius satellite radio, a 6.5" component set, and a big ol' amp and sub.

Well, that's about all I can think of for right now. I'm at work, so I can't put up my pics right now. Might have to wait till I get home, but don't worry, they'll be up today.

Catch ya later,
Bob

Howdy do Bob. Welcome to the 8. Definitely one of the best communities out there. Even when we argue, we're still family. Nice to see a Cert. MAI around.

Here she is, folks:

This is my old car, with the first set of 17's on it (the second set was what you see on the Si)

Welcome to the board. Yay another RR owner! The rims on the SI doesn't look that bad, but the Neon one will probably look better, IMHO.

Inside...

It's impossible to see in this picture, but there is also an LED in the cup behind the window switch.

You should put the rims you had on your neon on the Si and lower that sucker.

Those pics were taken right after a wash and wax, and honestly I don't even remember what kind of wax I used. I was at a friends house on vacation. It was the car's first major cleaning since I bought it.

Well, I would love to, however those rims got dented up to the point of one not holding air. Potholes up here are ridiculous, and being on a lowered car just f'ed them up. And believe me, I would dodge potholes like a mofo. There's just only so much you can do.

Nah, I pretty much plan on keeping that stuff to a minimum with this car. IMO, this car is pretty damn cool looking already. The neon needed a little help. Besides, that $hit got expensive quick.

Thanks for the replies, everybody!
